I have heard how great FPS is and all, but I think that it's all gone to their heads and prices. Have you looked at their website and price list? $48.00 for spark plugs! $169.00 for plug wires! $829.00 for a Borla exhaust! $900.00 for a rod shifter! Get real.

The prices for the spark plugs and wires are very close to dealer list price. I should know, I work at a dealership and installed both these items last week.

Ya, but you'd think that these guys would want to gain business rather than be compared to a dealer in their prices. You can get Motorcraft PP spark plugs at Murrays for $4 each.

Exactly. I called about a year ago to get a price for rod shifter installation. I already bought the shifter kit and needed it installed. I spoke to Doug and he quoted me $120.00. Now I look on their website and it's $300.00. They are no different than dealerships when it comes to pricing, that's why I don't go to the one near me or for that matter, FPS.

I respect FPS a lot, and I'm glad that I'm fortunate enough to live near one of the foremost SHO authorities in the country, but their prices are a bit high.

$50 apiece for used basketweaves? F#&$ that.

First of all, parts for SHOs are increasing in price because Ford is discontinuing many SHO specific parts. I just checked SHO Shops pricing and they are the same or higher than FPS's prices. Plugs $45, Rod Shifter $999, Plug wires $189, DIS $333, Aluminized Cat Back Exhaust $499, Stainless Steel Cat Back Exhaust $749 (NOT BORLA), FPS is the exclusive vendor for SHO Borla Exhaust. Finally, no where on the FPS site does it say that it is $300 to install a rod shifter. Not trying to be a pain in the ass, but just realize that supply and demand is starting to take over in the SHO market and everybody's pricing is going to start going up, not just FPS's.

Look at NOPI.com and see how much their Borla exhaust for the SHO cost. Under $600.00! And it is for the SHO. For a little bit more than the FPS exhaust, I can get a stainless Borla. Now where do you think I am going to shop? For all I know, they probably buy their kits from NOPI, since NOPI is located in the Atlanta area, and resale them. Excuse me for the mistake about the rod shifter installation price being on their website, but it actually was quoted to me in an e-mail by Bob Long at FPS. It is $300.00. Maybe when you are there next time, take along some price sheets from other vendors and ask them why the others charge less than they do on parts? Also ask them why would somebody pay them their price when they can get the same part at up to 50% off somewhere else? I'd like to hear that one.
