I noticed that Ford has included some 2-din (double height?) in-dash CD changers. There's a Focus one, which looks kinda cheap, and one from the luxury lines (Navigator, F-250?) that look pretty nice. I haven't had the time to pull my radio out and look at the connector, but is there a chance that these will wire right in without modification? Here's the pictures of the changer:

Or maybe an adapter or something?

Thanks!!

The plugs are different. You can make it work by making your own adaptor. You will have to modify the dash opening a bit for it to fit and you may need to do some special wiring to make that amp turn on (I had to to make my second gen stuff work in my '90) but it can be done. That radio would look nice with the newer style EATC head that came out in the late '90s also, it has the same style buttons.

I did something similar to my 95 SHO. I got the cd changer that fit under the radio in a Mustang. No for sure of the year but it is a 6-disc and it works great. All I had to do was talk to the right guy from my local Ford dealership and he hooked my up with the changer and also the wire and plug assembly that went directly into my dash. Looks and works great.

So, there is a single height CD changer? Any pictures or part numbers on this? And some standard ford wiring adapters hook it up to the existing cassette in the SHO?
