50% Ethanol?! You'd get so much more power out of it if you went with a 10% or 0% Ethanol fuel.
Don't you mean E85 or E100? Gas doesn't make as much power as E does, I have a bunch more timing and I can run the turbos hotter than on gas as they cool down the IAT so much.
I am going to try E85 instead of E50 soon but I've been concerned about the black death with the CDFP.
Time will tell!

that's moving. How does the Flex track compared with the SHO? We just picked up an Explorer Sport, and you can tell it's an SUV.

The Flex is about 500lbs heavier so in a SHO I would have been in the 11's easily. As far as handling it does very very well, it's has a very low center of gravity.

I'd say next time keep the in-car camera going the whole time, or have someone outside with something better than a potato filming.

Good job on getting that thing moving!

4DRHTRD's slicks are 26" tall. That is 3" shorter than the stock 29" tall 255-45-20". This would mean that he has an adjusted axle ratio of around 3.52, vs the stock 3.16 and 29" diameter tires.

Virtually all of the extra weight in the Flex is in the back half of the vehicle, so the weight balance is better in the Flex.

Generally speaking, the Flex is about a half second slower than a comparably tuned SHO. Not sure any SHO owners are using Nitrous. Those that spray 100% Methanol and have all the other goodies (before new turbos and downpipes were available) were in the 12.2-12.3 range under ideal conditions... (very low or negative DA's) NOT a 5,400 DA!!!!! My 3 - 12.9 Flex runs were with a 600 DA. Best was in IA when temp was 42 deg and when I was running 50% to 60% methanol. The other 2 were in Bradenton, FL at 75 deg running up to around 70% methanol spray, and Nitto DR's. 4DRHTRD is at least a second faster than my best, if he were running under the same conditions.

VERY IMRESSIVE INDEED!!!!!!

Just remember Bob my first pass was 12.4@109 with no nitrous, I think the reason I didn't hit 11's on nitrous that night was the shifting was ***** on the car with the new tires. I need to work on that and see what happens.

Agreed!

Biggest issue with tranny settings is how much retard you can eliminate without blowing up the tranny. My Flex shifts via Torrie tuning are much crisper than the tranny tune he did for G8. Imagine your torque output could be up to 150 lbs more than mine though.

How much PSI are you running in those fronts?

Like I told you in an e-mail, the guy with the Shelby running 100% E85 with Lund tune, couldn't hook up but still was seeing trap speeds of 123+! Hit rev limiter at every shift because of his stock Goodyear F! supercar tires. May have cost him nearly 2 seconds in ET.

Sorry about the confusion. I did a little more research and you're correct that E85 would produce faster runs down the strip; however, it is still horrible for mileage.

20 pounds pressure in the front, I had all the traction I needed, just need more brake or higher stall converter to get more boost off the line now. :) If I brake stalled on the line it overcame the brakes and moved me forward.

I don't daily drive the car but here's a video to retort that idea:
