that reminds me, when I do swap out fluids and filters, or just top off, anyone have any brand or type recommendations they care to share, do's and don'ts? I could always just go by the car manual I guess but pro users like yourselves, your advice is more valuable.

As far as the oil goes, I use Mobil 1 supersyn synthetic, 10w30, I hope that you get all the probs worked out with your car. I have had mine for nearly 2 years now and it has been a fantastic ride. Work out the bugs you have been experiencing and you will enjoy the ride as well, it really is a great car. Check out inexpensive mods like "porterizing" and you'll enjoy it even more, I have! :thumb:

sometimes I get lazy I guess, but really its true, a little research gets lots of results.

I notice a lot of folks choose 10w40, and also 5w30 which I believe is what the owners manual calls for. thats one of the reasons I started this thread really, I was going to go for 5w30 but not for personal choice , just b/c of suggestion, and wondering why you choose which

I use 0w30. There are several good 0w40 out there now. These are synthetics and the spread is of no concern.
