ok I am about to do an entire fluid swap just because.

What would be recommendations for or against using amsoil SS ATF in transfer and trans? Pros/cons?

And shockproof redline in front and rear diff. Pros/cons?

This aint no SHO, but I can still pretend

If your gonna go do butt stuff in a shed for the amsoil why don't you just do amsoil everything?

Well the guy promised he would prelube and the redline seems better for the other stuff.
Have you actually researched it or just taken what all these guys said? Yeah the redline is good stuff, but if you look around way more racing teams use amsoil severe gear than redline, i totally agree the redline is really good for bringing old worn out shit back to being tight so if that's what your looking for yeah, but when it comes to longevity id say that amsoil is better, you can find a ton of tests that show that amsoil is just the best for wear tests

I'm actually interested in reducing parasitic loss. I'm curious about increasing efficiency.

I drive this truck about 3300 miles a month.

That whole claim is what concerns me. It appears that the oil itself is really actually 75w-90 but because of the suspended particles in it they are able to bring it up to a 75-140 so if you ever have some of that fluid that the particles have settled out of jump up into a gear at a bad time i feel like it could cause a catastrophic failure. But with using it in the PTU and RDU I imagine it should stay mixed up lol

Like everyone says I can attest to Redline feeling noticeably smoother after pumped into my PTU and RDU. And no, it wasn’t replacing burnt paste. I switched both after maybe 15K miles on fresh OEM motorcraft in both cases. They were clean on the way out as well.

I have no experience with Amsoil, so there is my ¢2

The amsoil doesn't seem to have the same ability to be used instead of the higher 140w....unless I'm missing something.
That is why there is different weights. Super, light, heavy. I like the RL because of the ester based oils which work really well in the heat.

Yeah the LW seems a perfect match for what I want.

The fact that they are open diff with elocker means no additional additives

I used the Redline Shockproof lightweight stuff on my old PTU (about 2k before it popped) and I was very standoffish on how thin the fluid really was. I have zero study in hydrocarbons or petroleum but I just felt like it should have been thicker.

Im still not sure about it
I explained the other day how i think it is supposed to work in another thread, i thought I was talking to you, basically it IS a 75w-90 oil, however the suspended particles in it bring that up to a 140, im still not real sure how they know its always staying mixed up 100%, my issue is that there's always going to be pockets of oil that don't have those particles in them, i really think over long-term use these guys are gonna find out shockproof is bad, all the wear tests ive seen done with it are pretty rough. Seems to me like its a true racing fluid that should be used on the track and changed out after the race.

It works. @Jordan_R and @802SHO have gone the fastest in the platform with it in their SHOs.

I have torture tested it in extreme heat with numerous sustained over hours speed runs to CA from Phoenix and back. I also lean on it pretty hard every time I drive it. No failures, no new noises, and butter smooth.

I have another trip to CA in Sept. That will have given me 10K miles on it and I will send it too Blackstone.

Yet you talk nothing about esters for heat ect........I have more data in real world testing then you do in what you read and think you comprehend.
