So the estimates are in at about $3000 but insurance only cut me a check for $2291. They said that they wouldn't use the OEM driver side fender or Headlight mount or lights. Luckily the company that owns the van is cutting me a check for the remaining $700. I need to know a few things as I have no experience in body work and I can save a ton by doing it myself in the realm of 2500 dollars.

How do you remove and install the left front fender?
where are all of the bolts located and what tools will I need ?

How does the headlamp mount panel hook on and how do I remove the old one.

Also the bumper cover on the one that is damaged almost all parts to do with mounting it broke so I have to replace and I am curious about remounting it what fasteners will I need?

I lucked out and found all of these parts used and the same color so I should be able to get away with no paint.

I need to find out what tools and fasteners I will need for all the above jobs. I have access to whatever I need but I have to know what sizes to ask to borrow stuff from family.

As scary as it sounds this accident could be a blessing in disguise as I may end up with the cash that I just spent to purchase it.

Also can you guys recomend a replacement foglight aftermarket or stock or from another vehicle that would fit.

Sorry to sound ignornat but we all gotta learn somehow. :)

Get a good millimeter socket set and wrenches. IIRC the fender bolts are all 8mm or 10mm except for 1(Don't quote me on this wink ) I think it was either a 10 or a 12(if the rest are 10). You shouldn't need any fasteners except maybe the clips that hold the bolts(the ones that hold the bottom of the fender on) if they break. When you get the bumper it should come with a new cover and the support too. You should be able to just bolt it up onto the reinforcement(impact???) arms that protrude from the rad. support. If those arms are broken grab them off the parts car. Good luck and if you have any more questions PM me(I just graduated an Autobody course :p ).

To remove the left fron t fender youll need to remove about 5 or 6 bolts on top. The screws that hold the splash guard to the fender and the ones that hold the body cadding. Youll have to unbolt that side of the hood also.

$GREED$,

Top edge of the fender, under the hood, three bolts

Behind the headlight bezel, front edge of the fender, two bolts to a mounting bracket mounting bracket is adjustable to align the fender - don't move it unless you have to. )If your fender was aligned properly there is no need to move the bracket unleaa it was disturbed.)

Under the front bumper facia, one or two bolts to a mounting bracket (also adjustable - see above re adjustment)

inside the fender well back side of the fender, behind the splash shield (memory -I think)one bolt

under the bottom of the rear part of the fender two bolts, may be under the side body facia or the bolts go through the body facia, (don't remember)(there are spacers here to adjust the fit of the fender for alignment)

The side body facia has several screws holding it to the lip of the fender well and maybe some fasteners on the underside. It hangs on a retainer that is riveted to the fender.

behind the rear edge of the fender (where the edge of the door is), towards the top of the fender one bolt

The grill is held in place with a couple of rivets.

The headlight assembly is held in by a number of bolts and "push pins".

Before you start pulling things apart disconnect the battery, and I Would disconnect the electrical connections for the lights, side lights, fog lights (If applicable) etc.

I'll post more as you need it, if you need it. rangerj
