Even though they do not check emisisons, I would recommend the catted high flow equal length Y-pipe. You'll enjoy the sound, added hp, and low end torque increases for better streetabliity Without cats, the low end torque is not as good, and the powerband is shifted to higher rpms, plus the exhaust sounds like rice farts unless you change out to a huge resonator.

valve adjustment, yuck. ive got blue smoke when i first start the car too, so thats valve stem seals as well. I'd really like to add some cams when i do it tho, but getting rid of that blue smoke and maintaining my ride is more important

and thanks shobote, a properly sized resonator will get rid of the dreaded ricer noise

the brakes i want, require 17's so i'm waiting. (stage 3 from SHOSource) I want a poly urethane bushing kit, eibachs, and new wheels and tires, but thats for a disscussion in another section! But yes, suspension and brakes are a must, i agree. right now, ive got a bump on my tire or something, cuz at 80 mph, the steering wheel shakes.
