New to the forum, picked up a this SHO as I needed a new beater for the winter. Has some rust on the rear fender wells. 165K miles on it, but it still runs.

I was surprised to find out how much fun this thing is to drive, it's a blast on the streets. The 5 speed might be why it's so fun, though. First FWD I've had also.

Probably won't modify it much, as all my money is in my truck and bike.

Joined so if any problems pop up, you guys could help me.

Oh, and the name is Patrick and I'm 20 years of age.

Welcome to the forum Patrick. Looks like you've acquired a sweet ride. What year SHO do you have? At 165K miles, the SHO is just getting warmed up. You will find that, if you keep up on the maintenance and care, it will still provide you many more miles of driving joy. :salute:

It's a 1995. That's good to know. I was bought this just for the snow, but I might even make it my summer daily too.

They are fun, but NO burnouts!!!

Oops!

Welcome! That car doesn't look to be in too bad of shape...

Welcome.

95? With stick you have a more rare 95 most of that year were auto.

BTW burnout equals differential failure and transmission case descruction.

Welcome in.

Looks like your back end is a little "saggy". Do your rear struts pogo? Otherwise looks good. :thumb:

Yes sir, 1995 with a stick. I wouldn't of picked it up if it was an auto, ha.

Well, I haven't really done a burn out, just spinning all the way through third in the rain for some excitement.

Yes, the rear is pretty low. My winter break for school started, so I'm going to tear into it and see what I can get replaced.

Welcome! Looks like a nice '95 MTX for a northern car :thumb:

I have a set of new rear Moog Cargo Coil springs sitting in my garage that I no longer have a use for, if you're interested PM me. Not sure how close you are in Ohio to Detroit, but if you're around Toledo, it's less than an hour.

FYI: This will also blow up the tranny and make your life miserable.
