Hello,

Thanks for all your help in the past. It is very much appreciated. I have a new issue with our 1994 SHO that has me puzzled. We seem to have an oil leak that is causing a burnt oil smell in the cabin. This does not happen all the time, just mostly when the car is parked for a few days and then driven again. There is NO evidence of oil on the ground so I think what is happening is that a small amount of oil is dripping or pooling on the exhaust. then, when the car is driven, it burns off. If it is driven about 5 or 6 miles (just enough to get it good and warm) and than parked, sometimes you can see smoke coming up between the right front fender and hood gap so I believe the majority of the problem is coming from the front of the engine somewhere. So my question is what on the front of the engine could be leaking on the exhaust? I had a dye test run and it indicated the front and rear main seals had very small leaks. Its been awhile since I was under the car but I don't remember the front seal being over the exhaust system. Am I wrong? Like I said, this only hapens when the car has been parked for a couple of days or even a week. After it is driven a warmed up enough to burn off the oil, no smoke or smell. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. I am not as concerned about the leak as I am about the odor getting into the cabin. Thanks for all your help in advance. It is much appreciated.

It will leak and run down parts and drip onto exhaust pieces. If the seal had leaks before they will only increase over time. The most common areas for leaks are the cam seals (look by the cam sensor), valve cover seals, main seals, oil cooler o ring seal, oil pan seal. That's about where most of the seals are from the top of my head. oh and the oil filter.

I have had that symptom from each of these issues:
- cam seal behind camshaft sensor
- valve cover gasket issue on passenger side of rear head
- power steering pump return hose leaking at pump
- power steering pressure hose fitting leaking at pump
