Fit and finish are much better than previous Fords, almost import like. I like the interior pretty good, but I see where Ford could have used some softer feel materials on the console edges like they did with the Dash pad and armrest. The Driver side defrost vent doesn't fit very well, theres large gaps around it, but fits great on the passenger side, but its better than what I've seen in the past. I notice between the door panel and the dash, the gap is larger than many gaps inside the car. Ford could do better.

The passenger rear door is horrendously out of alignment, the trim shows the gap is off up to 1/4", but I'm going to leave it like that. Past experience is that once the dealer body shop starts messing with it, it's NEVER right after that. Either it looks fine but is noisy, or leaks water etc. Or it looks f'ed up and is watertight and quiet. I'm just going to deal with it.

Thats all to report for now!

More to come as I drive her.

;) You've got to be kidding. Mike Rowe has told me numerous times this week that the Taurus would be perfect.

I finally received my steel blue SHO today. From order to delivery was only 4 weeks. (ordered 1/21/10, bullt 2/8/10 and at dealer 2/18/10).

I expected it in April and with the perf pack it should be a real joy in March.

Production has caught up.....

Cool!

Pics?

So you ordered yours equipped like mine. No options but Perf pkg.

Thanks for the update Wes. My order unfortunately was/is still sitting at the plant as of today at 3PM. Car was built on 2/2. So, the dealer and I went looking elsewhere. Found another within and hours drive time. Only difference between the two is this one has the 20" rims and tires. Otherwise, they are identical. Should have the car delivered tomorrow. I'll be sure and look over the doors and defrost outlet. I wonder if the floor mats from the after market guys will fit any better?

Is Kirk working on getting some made up? I seem to recall him having something in the works. I'd like to get ones that go underneath the pedals with the same SHO logo on the side.

No more waiting. Took delivery of a Red Candy SHO today. Since I have a road trip next week, I got tired of waiting for my order, still in Chicago. As stated in previous post, got one from another dealer. What a car!

Weathertech makes some killer floor mats I've been told. Complete coverage front and back. The mats even come in black. The only bad thing about them is they just don't say SHO anywhere on them.

Weathertech Digital Fit are the ones you speak of. They do look nice.

I almost bought some for my Five Hundred, but I ended up buying the less luxurious yet more functional Husky Liner mats.

I have found Weathertech to have crap customer service sucks and they take 10 days to answer any technical question with no idea what they are talking about. Their website doesnt show a pic of the mat. I emailed them asking if they could take a picture of the mat for the 2010 SHO.

My concern was that the mat was going to fit like the OE carpet mat which doesnt even cover the pedals, like the Ford Accessory Mats. I was really frustrated that the customer service center just emailed me back and Said "well we dont have a picture, but they look like the ones on the website." I wrote the company president a letter, and never got a response.

So I will either go with the Husky Liners in my SHO or I will see if Nifty Products will make a mat for us.

Their mat is carpet and will hold a gallon of junk, while still being plush carpet.

Have now had a chance to put some miles on the car. AWESOME! Wife was ****** that I bought it, but has now come around after a ride and drive. Only found one area that will need adjusted, trunk lines don't match up. Will get pictures on next week.

I made a thread about that.

Look carefully. Either your trunk lines match and your taillights line up, or your tail lights done line up, but the trunk does.

Just called Nifty Products.

They plan on releasing mats for the 2010 Taurus, look for them to be available in the middle of March.

Go to fordaccessories.com. Click on floor mats and work your way thru the prompts, they have a 4 piece set of mats with the SHO embroidery(sic) in whatever color you want for $74.90 for the front and back mats plus $25.00 for the color of the embroidery you want.

I must be blind because when I go to fordaccessories.com and select 2010 Taurus, theres no other choice for mats other than rubbermats.

I dont see anything for selecting mats without selecting the model first.

BTW, buyer beware, Lloyds makes 4 grades of mats. Their cheap ones are crap.
