I picked up some spring blocks from SHObill. And put on a set of drag radials. I wasn't able to heat them properly as they wouldn't let me in the water box. I was pulling 2.1 60s most of the day, down from my 2.3 usual. I wish I could have heated the tires properly and got my top end figured out as I am sure I could have found a mid 14 run.
Here is a vid of me against a probe you can see that rear end squat is almost nothing and you can also hear me spin the drag radials on the 1-2 shift. http://media.putfile.com/SHOvsProbe
Far from my best run of 14.8 but I am sure the head wind wasn't helping.

They are 225/50 16s Nittos.
They wouldn't let me in the water box because they were worried that I would drag watter out on the track from my rear tires.

Just curious, but if you ran a 14.8 with a 2.4 60' how didn't you **** that time with some traction?

Good runs with a 2.1 for the first try on the DRs!!

FWIW, DRs shouldn't be run through the water box, anyway. Nitto (and BFG, IIRC) doesn't recommend super-heating DRs as you would a set of true slicks. You want them a bit warm, but smoky burnouts (dry or wet) are counterproductive.

I'm sure that Bill's spring blocks also helped. A proper suspension helps the MTX SHO launch as much as decent tires.
