I have one last motor mount question for you people. Considering the cost of a tranny mount, and the fact that they rarely break, I'm wondering if there is a way to figure out once and for all if it is busted. Here is a reminder of the damage:

The marks are vertical (fan<->firewall), and only in the front center of the intake, so I doubt it is my SFB's (and they look fine, no obvious damage).

Thanks again!

I'm not sure if this is going to help, but I just replaced the motor and tranny mounts this week. After comparing the mounts, the old ones are MUCH more flexible. I wasn't sure which mount was broken either so i just decided to replace all three. There is a huge difference in shifting smoothness.
