You know.. When I first got my sho I looked like **** to find a body kit, then realized the sad reality that the just isn't any to be found easily.

Now, I've been looking into what it takes to make a fiberglass part and honestly.. It looks like it'd take a little practice, but looks possible never the less. I'm thinking it might very well be possible to make my own half assed body kit.

Anyone else ever though of that idea? Because once you have your basic mold, you can replicate that.. replication = sharing the love.

Good idea, bad idea, don't let monkey eat my cereal? What's the verdict?

i guess woulnt be to bad but my guess is that you will have to like you metioned make a mold but you would have to do the front also,to balance out the kit,and if kept very mild then maybe not to bad.but being new to the forum and maybe the sho,WELCOME i think you would have alot more fun doing rod conversion, and suspension,or everyone will say the rod bearings first off:thumb:

speaking as someone who has some experience working with composites, if you've never fiberglassed before, you're going to have a LOT of trouble constructing your own hit that looks good, let alone reproducing it.

I think that the stock kit does leave something to desire but nothing looks good the the taurus but whats on it. I think i have only seen one taurus with a kit that looked good and it was a wagon. I say go for it and post pics and lets see what you got.

See, what I'm going to do is do some photoshop prototypes.. Because I love the standard SHO rear, but there's customizing that could be done.

Like showya's idea:
Sheer Genius

I'm going to take a stab at it.

Umm No.
Taurus + Ferrari = No

Now this rear bumper I do want to make fit considering that the mustang is the same width as the Taurus.
Cervinis Mustang rear bumper

As for the rest, a little addition to the rear of the side skirts since they seen to shrink towards the back and maybe a lip spoiler for the front bumper and a M3 style lip spoiler for the trunk and you would have a nice looking 92-95 SHO.

I also always wanted to see what a 92-95 would look like with Gen 1 side skirts on it. The Gen 1's have a very aggressive skirt design that if mixed with the Cervinis rear bumper and a custom front lip spoiler would make for an aggressive looking Gen 2.

I think it would look good if the right lip kit could be made. I wouldn't want a body kit on my sho. Hood, trunk, spoiler that's about it. There's alone the andy's kit but It looks like ****.

I really like the stock body myself. Like someone else said, I could never get rid of the SHO badge of honor on the rear bumper. I just wrecked my SHO, hit a deer last Thursday, and my boyfriend was trying to talk me into getting a body kit and carbon fiber hood, but a. kits just can't be found anywhere on the web and b. I like what I have now, I just want to fix it lol.

By the way, if anyone were interested in a CF hood, he said he found a place that makes them specifically for gen I and II SHOs for under $500. I don't like the look of them, but someone else might...

the other bad thing about fiberglass is touch anything and it'll crack. if you really want a kit, urethane is really the way to go, but that's neither here nor there.

I quality fiberglass kit takes alot to crack but can be fixed as many times as you like. Urethane doesnt crack it breaks and then its garbage. I love fiberglass kits as i have 2 of them now.

I have also been looking for quite sometime for a decent looking Set up for Skirts and Custom Kits.

I like the original look of the car don't get me wrong. I do however want something that is a bit more aggressive looking however. Ive been speaking with some people and waiting on some replies about what they can do to help me. Hopefully I shall be able to give a update on that as well when I know more of whats going on with it. I want the SHO embedded still in it as well.
