This is what I have so far for performance upgrades:

Eibach Springs
Tokico Struts
26mm sway bar
Subframe connectors (on the way and not installed)
ASB's (on the way and not installed)
Borla Exhaust
Performance Plus Y Pipe
FPS Trans
Hayden 1677 Race trans cooler
190 lph fuel pump (waiting to be installed)

I trying to get the car ready for nitrous, I have new plug wires and new copper plugs to be installed soon. I have 17 svt thunderbird wheels and will need tires soon. At this point in time the car can hardly chirp them from a stop with 225/50/17 winter tires. I am looking at getting the same size but don't know if this size will hold up to a 50-75 shot. The car runs a 15.1@91 on 17's and will look to get a 14.3@98 with a 75 shot. What else will I need and is 765 shot kind of overkill. Remember this is an automatic. The trans has 42k on it

im not an expert on nitrous but i can say start with a lower shot like say 50 and then see how the car reacts. Run it for a little while then up it up to say 65 and maybe then 75. you can usually tell when its a bit to much, kinda lie kwhen you can feel an engine about ready to explode.:thumb:

I agree..

Start out small. Run the 50 first. You would be suprised on how well the 50 will help a modded car.

IMO, i wouldnt run a 75 shot on a stock (even low mileage) ATX.

That may be a little too much, Id stick with a 735 shot IMO

Why not start with a 50 shot then up it to a 75 shot if everything seems to be under control

Easy install, effective.

However, Im not sure if you can run the zex with an LPM. I could be wrong.

EBay has the kits for cheap. And you can also build a kit for even cheaper.

Its not too hard....

Bottle
Solienoids
Lines
Jets
switches
nozzle

Your best bet would be the ZEX kit. Its easy to install, and is safer. It may be alittle more, but its worth it.

A search will lead you to some good info. Type in ZEX in the search function.

Sorry for the Hijack'd thread Sean.

You could just have the LPM reburned to leave the timing functions and tables left stock. The issue with running nitrous with an lpm is that most lpm burns include timing mods.

Yawn. I've run 130hp Pro Fogger system on a BONE STOCK 3.0L for 2 whole seasons without needing to even change the plugs. The trick is tuning. It's real easy to get it wrong.

I'd also stay away from the Zex kit. It's not as safe as the NOS kit. Only thing cool about the Zex kit is that it's triggered off of TP volts. NOS kit has a switch.

I'd recommend a NOS 5115-2. This is adjustable up to 100hp. If you've got enough fuel pump, it'll work just fine. Just be careful, Nitrous is like Crack Cocaine, "A little feels this good, lets try a little more".

doug, the point was adding nitrous to an already feeble ATX (transmission, not engine). You can do all the tuning in the world but it isn't going to save that ATX from blowing up.

i think he is all set in the tranny dept. i am running a FPS tranny as well and it is quite the improvement... well it was for trackday and now that it has almost 200 miles it is back on jackstands awating the turbo completion.

so he has a built tranny, a trans cooler, and a fuel pump capable of suplying his needs. i think he is ready don't you?

Doug's ATX tranys are second to none. As Alex just posted his willme seeing 9 psi from a turbo and I would bet $$ that he'll have no issues. I have seen Tom W. Run mid 13s all day in his FPS prepared ATX running a zex 100-125 shot. He never had an issue last I spoke with him.

overlooked the fps tranny part
in that case, slap in a 190lph pump, a 42 main and a 28 fuel and put a towel over your driver seat for the impending **** stain.

Correction, Ron - Tom Wallenhorst rebuilt both of his ATX units himself, not FPS. ;)

Opps my bad. I remember him telling me all that had been done to it. I dunno if I miss heard him or just assumed since it was similar to what Doug does that is was an FPS trany. Thanx for correcting me. :)
