Today is a good day!

Well it has been almost 2 years since the project started. And I as well as all of you have been waiting for the day this is completed. Even though it is not i can assure all of you that it will be very soon. Very possible ill make it to the convention!!!!

I received a few surprises over the weekend ... received my momo seats and my tweecer r/t! Yet one of the seats was damaged and have to send it back for replacement.

Today was the greatest one of all...

... I finalized assembling the engine ... changed all the fluids and replaced vacume lines with silicone ones.

So i primed the engine letting it turn a few times (DIS disconnected) and then ... connected the DIS and for the final moment of truth...
The turn of the key made me shiver as the engine only cranked once and like a miracle it was alive!!

The engine has a rough idle but man does it sound just awesome. I let it run for 15 min so the cams can break in.

I will post a video soon and so all of you can hear and see what i have been patiently waiting for.

I love the rumbly idle! Great job on the car man.

One thing though, IMHO it would look better with blacked out b and c pillars and with black mirrors. The flares look awesome though :thumb: Much better than I expected.

They are 18X8.

Sorry to all but i will not be able to make it to the convention this year. I was pretty excited about it but there is alot more to do to the car. Plus i dont think it will make it since the car obviously is not running right. All it need is a tune but it will take time. My only chance to go there is thursday but i still need to bring it here to work to do some welding for the bung for the WB sensor.

BTW, Take lots of pictures and video!

Lookin good! Souding good too. Was that vid before or after the initial tuning you discussed in the other thread?

A couple suggestions on the engine bay (though you probably already have plans for these). Polish the fuel rails next time the intake is off, paint the DIS cover, and ceramic coating for the exhaust manifolds (or headers I suppose).
