So are you going to get those curb feelers to make sure you don't scratch your new flares & HUGE tires? Or perhaps something a little higher-tech like radar controlled lasers to melt anything that comes near? LOL

Looks like it's comming along nicely, what is your schedule for final push out of the body shop for mechanical assembly?

Congratulations to your and your team on the progress!

I have the car in my garage now and started unmasking it. They still have to paint the bumpers and moldings that go in the car plus the rear spoiler. And i almost forgot the interior pieces that have to be painted too. But as far as mechanical i sent the heads to get flow tested. I gave them the specs for stock cams, +20 and +40 cams also to see what would be best as far as air flow goes for these ported heads.

So if i decide to fireup the heater in the garage then i think im putting on the new carpet tonight and probalby adding some sound deadning material to the firewall inside.

Put sound deadening material in the doors and trunk, not the firewall! You need to hear the engine!

Looks like it will be the first Taurus in a tuner mag.

Before you buy the +40's you really need to talk with Mikey face to face, I don't think the 40 are EPAble, nor do they (as I've read) do much more for the breathing. I'm sure you'll think it through carefully though.

The flare effect seems really pronounced (and kewl) on the front fenders but I'm betting the bumper moulding really sets them both off much more than these pictures reveal.

I am going to put the material on the roof, doors and truck too. I'll fire her up and close everything... maybe i wil or maybe not, but its really freeking loud. Few rev ups that i have made on the stop lights you should see how quick people turn their heads to look at what monster the sound is comming from. The best part is watching peoples faces with disbelief!

Hopefully ill make it to some magazine.

Im wating on the results of the flow tests. I will go from there.
The bumpers do bring out the flares alot and yes the pictures dont do much justice for how they actually look.

Midwest will not be releasing the 40s from what I understand. The 20s are actually close to the SHOShop stage2 cams. They might be releasing something closer to SS Stage1 cams.

I was looking at the picture of your car without lights or bumper, and it kind of reminded me of another car:

If you wanted to go really big, I wonder if a fiberglass front grill and lights for a 'SHO GT' wouldn't be too crazy? Just giving a wild idea to the forum!
