I just received my new headgaskets and they are the Fel Pro Perma Torque. They don't have the rubbery coating that other Perma Torque headgaskets that I have replaced have had. The surface feels slick. Do I need to put anything on the gasket or put it on just as it is. It just seems wierd that it will seal with that slick surface. Thanks.

Even though the surface is slick? Sorry I just want to be sure.

do not put anything on the surface of the gasket or the block/head, gasket mating surfaces. Clen all surfaces really well and put the new HG on dry.

They are slick so when compressed they pancake out evenly. Good for Aluminum to cast seal.

What part number are they?
