I have noticed my fan doesn't kick on. My car just keeps getting hotter and hotter until its at the red while at idle. Then of course i either shut it down or go cool it down. Any idea's?

Apply 12v directly to the fan, see if it works.

Try replacing the ECT - that is the sensor the computer uses to turn on the fans. It is a cheap replace and is common. Other possible problems are the CCRM or the fan itself.

I thought that sensor was for the guage? My gauge works fine. So i'm not sure what to do.

They are two different sensors. If you are looking at the T-stat straight on from the drivers side fender - to the left of the T-stat and down a bit is a one wire sensor that sends the signal to the gauge on the dash. To the right of the T-stat is another sensor that has 3-4 wires on it, and has an actual harness clip on it (that is the ECT sensor). The ECT sensor feeds the computer while the gauge has it own sending unit.

Hope this helps

I just went through all of this. I replaced my radiator fan motor and CCRM and it turned up to be just a wire that was chaffed through by the engine strut. It figures.

If the A/C turns it on, it is the CCRM. You can get one from a junkyard, just make sure the large number matches.

If the AC doesn't turn the fan motor on, it might be the motor. Try applying direct 12V connection through the jumper cables. If it turns on, it isn't the motor. If it doesn't, try replacing the motor. I got my motor from Napa, the part number is on here somewhere. Try searching.
