Fan Control

Is there any way to control when the cooling fans turn on and off? Does anyone make an inline product to turn them on at a lower temp than the EEC IV?

You can always fabricate something of your own or give a company like Be Cool a call. Another route is to have a chip programmed to turn on/off the fans at desired temperatures.

EEC turns on the high speed fan relay in the IRCM using pin 55. I don't recall the color code, but if you ground this wire, the fan will turn on. You could accomplish this with a switch in the cockpit or a snap-switch thermostat that closed the circuit to ground at whatever temperature you desired.
