Does anybody know I can't use the 2 amps that came factory installed with my 93 Sho with my Pioneer Reciever?

Is the a way or not?

I was told I have to bypass it.

Thanks, Mike

Are you wanting to know if you can still use the amps with an aftermarket head unit? If thats what you want to know the answer is yes. I am still using my factory amps in my 95 with the premium JBL with the factory sub using my panasonic cd player.

So, how do you guys do it? For my Pioneer deck to work, the factory amps needed to be bypassed...

I had a friend that worked in one of the audio stores in our town and when we installed my panasonic cd player, we used some kind of Ford Premium connection wiring harness that hooked up to the factory harnessses for the factory amps. We did not even have to cut any wires or anything. It all worked out very well and I still got to use the factory amps and sub!! thumb

Best Sho:
Is their a part # for this Ford harness?
And other than Ford where could I get it?

Thanks, Mike
Mike
Don't go to Ford for this harness. Your local Best Buy or Circuit City should have this harness for about $17.99. Tell them the year of your SHO and that you want to run an aftermarket deck and retain your JBL premium amp setup. They will hand you the Metra amp integrator harness quadmasta was talking about. If you need help throwing that bad boy in (very simple) post your question and I'll reply with pics.

There are a couple ways to do it. Bestkits just came out with a handy plug that uses the RCA outputs from your aftermarket deck to integrate with the factory premium sound. its part number BHA5511R Also, there is a standard premium plug with a third plug that u unplug the two plugs in the trunk from the amp and connect them with this. If u "forget" to do that.. it works just as well. :)
