Ok so I'm pretty sure that my motor mounts are blown, & i plan on replacing them here in the near future. but i just want to know if anyone eles has this same problem, & if its possibly somthing eles besides the MM's.

When i start to let the clutch out in revers the engine will kick & knock with about the same frequency of a RWD car experiencing wheel hop. Its fast & extreamly loud, if i allow it to happen it can be heard for several blocks. this has actually been going on for years, but I'v just been able work the pedel to the point where it doesn't happen.

Will the new motor mounts fix this?

It's quite possible. Rear mounts rarely break (they're only in tension in reverse, they're in compression the rest of the time) but it's been known to happen. It could also be CV axles, but I kinda doubt that.

Na, only happens as the car is just slightly rolling. I could probably set the E-brake & get the same action.

I'll crawl under it & make sure that my subframe isn't lose or anything crazy like that. its such a loud noise that i wouldn't be suprised if its the rear portion of the subframe chattering against the body. would it be possible for the rear subframe bolt on pass. side to seperate from the body?

Off the top of my head, I'd look at:
Upper strut mounts
Sub Frame Bushings
Motor mounts

Motor mount check:
With the car running, and the hood open, you can set the E brake. Then put the car in first gear, and start to slowly let the clutch out while watching the intake. If you see the front of the intake lifting up an inch or so, it's tome for some new reinforced motor mounts.
