Mine is getting pretty rusty looking. I feel I'll need to replace it in a year or so. I'd though about a custom single exhaust.

I believe FPS ( http://www.fordspecialists.com ) still sells the Borla system, but it's pricey. Best bet might be to find a local "custom exhaust" shop to make one for you.

What kind of Borla mufflers were or are used on the "Borla Catback" system?

What are the specs of that Borla system? Maybe the model number...Maybe I can find one on ebay or something.

I got my exhaust made at a local shop for around $650 and it was all custom bent. It came out better than I had expected.

I have a whole custom mandrel-bent cat-back. The only original piping from after the flex pipe is the tips. The whole system cost me $500 plus the mufflers.

Their photo of the exhaust system shows some bold tips -- can you use your own originals with it? How does it compare as far as anyone knows with the CatBack that Shoshop.com offered till recently?

I have currently got two Silver Bullets that are blow out and the OEM tips. No resonator and no third cat. Just got a used exhaust pipe off eBay and my plan is to use a straight 3" round muffler with one tip (type to be determined).

Right now the car is pretty loud. I was told I had a very manly sounding exhaust.......... :dribble:

Sounds great on a 8k 1-2 shift. :)

Have you been to the track lately?
Why single exhaust? More backpressure?

With the 3.98 gears and the chip tuning from FPS, the 1-2 shift will come so fast it is hard to catch in time (sometimes) :****:

I want to go to a single exhaust to save weight.
