I went to buy some exhaust parts and found a lot of them are discontinued.
Not knowing a lot about the later model Taurus, I was wondering if the underside of the 1996 to 2007 was similar to the 89 to 95 cars.
The pipe that has the resonator will have to be "built" I imagine, but is that second pipe (before the rear split to duals) adaptable from the later cars?
I am not so much worried about whether it is 2 1/4" or 2 1/2" or 2"; but more concerned with that contorted shape.
Thanks

The Borla kit on my '89 uses a single inlet dual outlet muffler for a resonator. You might try and do something along those lines and have someone fabricate the remainder.

There's still an AP exhaust system for the SHO on Ebay for $355, but who knows if it's really available and how well it fits. I've never heard of anyone using an AP system. Search for "93 94 95 Ford SHO 3.0L DUAL Muffler Exhaust Pipe System"

I believe Magnoflow and Dynomax still make kits for the 93-95 MTX SHO. They'll fit on the earlier models with adjustments o the hangers. The basic difference is the mufflers have the Gen 2 straight tips, instead of the turn-downs of the earlier models. :salute:

Nope, as of this writing, they are discontinued and sold out. None left in the warehouses. None at retailers that anyone knows about. I was told by an insider that thanks to being rolled up under Tenneco , the corporate bean counters won't let Dynomax produce another run because the SHO kit was tagged a "slow seller". I still have an open order on Amazon for a kit, but I doubt it will ever be filled.

Makes me glad I didn't hesitate when I came across the Borla kit at Nopi. It was their last one and on closeout. $379.00 out the door.
