Hey everyone!

I got my SW DP and installed them, they sound amazing but... the car still was not loud enough for me and they Dynomax mufflers had to much drone. I went to a shop and had them do 2 1/2" from the DP back and deleted the mufflers. HOLY **** that was a terrible idea!!! So I went back and had magnaflow straight through mufflers installed. I was thank GOD! That sound a 1000 times better. But now I am hearing a twangy sound when I get to about 2500 rpms. People are telling me to get different mufflers or add high flow cats. My question is what do I do? Why does my exhaust sound like this?

Just a recap, I have Catless Stainless Works DP, straight pipes all the way back and magnaflow mufflers.

PLEASE HELP ME AGAIN!!!

Add cats! Think of non catted DP's as a can with no lid. Whatever sound you insert into the can will be amplified. This is resonation that you can hear. There are SOOOOOOO MANY threads on several EB forums that complain about the SW DP's!

What cats do you recommended? I want high flow for sure but what brand?

I am thinking about going with 2.5" Thunderbolt High Flow Cats. Unless you all can think of better ones, these are the ones that my performance shop recommended.

Changing anything in the exhaust system will change resonance. You could change mufflers, cats, resonators, x-pipe, or a bunch of other things. But easiest is going to be to stick with the path others have taken and change cats or mufflers.

I did do what others did. But I am going to add cats and see how it sounds, I am going to add it to the exhaust not the DP's. Thanks again guys.
