Bought some flowmaster mufflers last week..brought them in to get them on my car..and they said they couldnt put on the stock tips to the new mufflers, So i need to find some new tips.

Looking for the perfect ones, anyone know a good site to find them at?

Why couldn't they put the stock tips on the flowmasters? I got a pair of 2.25" Thrush all welded/chambered mufflers put on my '94, and they reused the stock stainless tips. Unless the flowmasters have a considerably larger outlet diameter than stock? If you're looking for another set of tips, try Summit Racing's website.

Well i have been in school all day, so im calling them tomorrow to get more info. But i have 2' in/out for the mufflers....that is the stock in/out right??

And this might be a dumb question also...but does the tips inlet size have to be the same size as the outlet size of the muffler?

2" in/out is stock for the Gen3. I believe 94SHO_Norfolk is referring to a Gen2. The stock tips are not simply clamp on, they would need to cut them close to the muffler, then weld them to the outlet of the new muffler.

There's really no extra length there, so I am guessing they just didn't want to do it.

If you can, ask them for your old mufflers with tips on there.

Any exhaust shop worth doing business with will weld your stock tips back on. Like was said, they just didn't want to do it. It would be a good opportunity to get some different tips, though. I have dual oval tips on mine and really like the look.

Yeah i am planning on getting some new tips. But it takes a long time to find a good pair. still trying to guess on what size outlet on the tips would look good in the gap of the back bumper.
