I have seen a number of people say that exhaust exiting out the back does not look right on a Gen 1 because there are no bumper cutouts. I agree, and this is my solution.

No, these are not the best shots ever. I did not feel like taking the car down off the jack stands and rolling it outside just for pictures. I will take some better ones later. Also, I probably should have at least cleaned them first. Oh well.

-edit-
Almost forgot, I would have liked to have cut them up a bit further, but they are touching the bumper support as it is. I suppose I could modify the support to.

I would definately like more pictures, especially one showing both tips from the rear. I was fooling with cutouts on a Gen 2 in photoshop, I think its workable. Those look sharp from what I can see so far.

Looks alright. How big are the tips and what kind of exhaust set up are you running?
The tips are 4" diameter. SHO Shop catted Y-pipe to Dynomax pipes with Borla "turbo style" mufflers. They are the universal mufflers, I do not know if they are the same as the Borla catback or not.

Looks good, love the yellow. How did you make the cuts?
Thank you. I did not make the cuts, I had a body shop do it. I think that was about 5-6 years ago.

I will take some more pics soon. I just bought my very first digital camera last night. The car is up on jackstands in the front. I was really just playing with the camera to get a feel for it. The car should be reassembled and out of the garage by Saturday. I will get some better pics at that time. Thanks for the compliment.

Sorry for the three seperate replies, I have not figured out how to quote multiple posts in one reply yet!

I'm tryin'! I pick up my new plug wires at Courtesy Ford tommorow. They accidently ordered Vulcan 3 liter wires the first time around. shrug

If all goes well, I will be at ******* in Tacoma at 9:30 am! And of course down to Centralia at about 11 am.

It looks VERY nice!!! I am loving that color even more everytime that I see it!! The tips look good with the cutouts as well. What kind of camera did you just purchase, I am looking to buy a digi, but I don't know what kind and I don't want to spend maybe over $170 for one and yours looks like it takes some nice pics!? :p

It is a Concord eye Q Duo 2000. I picked it up for $99 at Rite Aid. There is also supposed to be a $10 rebate at Rite-Aid I have not checked into that.

Honestly, its probably a cheap POS. But it is good enough for me! Gotta save my money for more important things like SHO parts!

Still not the best pics, but at least you get a shot of the entire back of the car.
