I'm planning on doing my rod bearings sometime this month, along with my oil pan gaskets, and in planning it out in my head, I realized that I'd have to remove 13 year old nuts from 13 year old exhaust studs that have 182,000 miles on them to get the Y-pipe off. Oh, and it's a northeast car.

Yeah, that's what I said too. :frown:

Obviously, I'm gonna have to replace them. Who knows what size they are, so I can have some ready for when I pull it all apart.

My database shows the following part numbers:

Stud: N811-284-S101 List $5.77/ea
Nut: N800-152-S2 List $2.58/ea

The stud is 73mm long (OAL).

FWIW, NAPA also carries a Balkamp branded stud set that works well, and is about $9 for a complete set of 4 studs and nuts. If I remember I'll try to grab the part number next time I'm at the shop.

IIRC, the part number differences have a difference on the end of the stud and maybe were it mates up with the manifold. Choose at your own choice, because one of them is perfect for removing when the stud snaps. I believe one has a nut that butts up with the manifold, so when the stud breaks you can screw it out.
