exhaust problem

I need some help, cause im kinda in a bind. Well my SHO cant be driven on the streets cause it failed emissions and for it to pass i need new exhaust. Well i got under it today to my surprise the bolts connecting the y-pipe to the exhaust manifold are rusted. well its a texas car but is here in illinois and only been driven in like 2 winters so not much rust anywhere else. well i took some PB blaster to see if i could take care of the rust, well this ***** is on there and it is not showing signs of anything, except for the probable stripped nut. so i figure i could cut off the y-pipe but i would still have to worry about the bolts. Sinse the car cant go anywhere do anybody have any ideas to how to get these bolts off, cause it seems like i have tried everything. thanks

Heat is your friend when working on exhaust. Living up here in the rust belt I have to heat up damn near everything I take apart.

I have only broken one exhaust stud on the SHO, after taking the y-pipe off of probably 4 different SHO's. They key is heat, and if its still tight, more heat and more pb blaster.

so pretty much buy a small propane torch or something, the oil pan has oil on it, and there is a slight oil leak that comes down and the torch wont set the whole front end up in flames will it? lol

You will need more than a propane torch. You will need to get the nuts glowing red. Acetylene and Oxygen torch maybe required.

i think if i sit there for a bit the propane will work, fire is fire no matter which way u make it, i'll get it done thanks guys
