OK so I have replaced the brake pads and rotors on my 2013 with slotted and drilled rotors and ceramic pads from brakeperformance.com . I have issues with them being very loud when they get some heat in them... as in just coming off the highway and hitting them on the ramp. By the second hit of the pedal they are annoyingly loud. They were put on just this past winter and have about 10k miles on them. Would changing just the pads maybe cure this? Looking for advice. Thanks in advance.

The ceramic pads could be glazed and that is what is causing the noise. I would buy a new set of pp pads and go from there.

Is it a squeel or a moan? Seems like the glazing would cause the squeel. Mine moan under a hard brake. I think my next set of pads will be EBC. They performed well, I just hate the brake dust they create.

Could be alot of issues. Warped rotor, glazed pad, hung up caliper or pin, brake hose collapsed or wearing out internally, abs being stupid.

I am leaning towards glazed pads. Everything else as far as performance of the brakes is fine. I have had some of those issues in race cars and it doesn't act like that.

I had the High Performance Z whatever Ceramic Pads from Powerstop. They were straight junk. Powerstop's Drilled and Slotted rotors are pretty good though. No cracks ect, and they have been beat ******* for about 15k miles. I threw the PS ceramic junk pad in the trash, and threw in a pair of stock PP pads and I am extremely happy now.

Same with r1 concepts. Rotors are pretty good but the pads that they come with are better thrown away.

Just make sure that you properly bed the new pads. If there aren't instructions in the boxes, check their website.

When switching pads, especially across mfrs, it's a good idea to get cleanup passes done on the rotors, or do it yourself with emery paper and a board.

Then you bed the pads and condition the rotors together.
