Thanks to jmpsho2nd I've got it put back together with a new control arm.
I'm installing the endlink today and the ingalls endlink is different than what I removed.

How do I get the nut tightened, the end link keeps spinning and I do not have a very thin 18mm wrench to hang on to the nut that is between the shock and endlink or the sway bar and endlink

You either get a skinny 18 or whatever or use air tools to spin it on. You'll just keep making neat circles if you don't hold the bolt still. Find out what you need and get a gearwrench or a socket or something to make life simple.

Is it an 8mm hex or does it have an allen head socket on the end of the endlink?

Vise grips don't work, there's no space.
The vice grips would get in the way preventing the tightening of it

There is either e hex at the end where you start the threads for the nut or a spot near the boot to get a wrench in there to hold it in place while you tighten it.

This is how DIY people build a tool collection. If you don't have it, and it ain't a fortune, go get one.

Where do I get a very thin 18mm
I went to sears and theydidn't have or know what to do, ACE didn't have either

It does not have a allen wrench socket, it is a 18mm hex in front of the boot with a 19mm nut threading onto it
Its the Ingalls endlink

I've made thin wrenches by grinding down a regular wrench. Just get a cheap one so you don't feel like you're 'wrecking' it

But is not the end of the treaded part the 19 mm nut goes on a hex? I just took some Ingals front sway bar links off the sway bar for my '97 today and there is an 8mm hex you put a socket on and use the open end or ratcheting box end wrench on to tighten the 19mm nut.

There is a little divot at the end of the threaded part
It does not look like an 8mm allen at all
Looks more like a 3mm or so and its not a hex shape from what I can tell

Post pics? I just did these on the GenIII a few months ago but a pic would help jog the memory banks.

So you should be able to install it as per SHOZ123's post unless you rounded the shaft. I think I had a socket that fit correctly with an extention for the shaft and a gearwrench to tighten the nut. I think I also cross threaded one of them during install so be aware as it's going on. Need an extention to give your hands room to work.

I never did anything with the shaft so it shouldn't be rounded?
Now what shaft?

The little divot I'm talking about at the threaded end of the rod?
