I'm workin on building a new gear set but can't find the engineering drawings for them witch would make life so much easier. Any one know where I can find them I've looked just about everywhere.

Thanks!

I don't think anyone would do all the measuring of gears and then publish it for others to make money off it. If you have the ability to make gears, you undoubtedly have the ability to measure them up. Go for it and give the other designers/fabricators some competition.

just buy a quaife tranny. Even after you have a nice gear set you have a paper thin case that will flex and stretch.

That's true but I'd rather take my chances and snot drop £8000 on a trans that is apparently universal lol

Yes, agree of Off Road, you'll spend a lot of time on reverse engineering the gears not worth it in my opinion, something I thought about myself, I'd much rather pay a company to do all the reverse engineering, that makes gears everyday and has had a good reputation for building race transmissions, in addition that will give you replaceable gears, perhaps even a warranty a believe, $5k is a good price for the group buy gearset.

So you're saying that HD gears will hold 600+ horsepower but the MTX-IV case will fail?

What transmission is pictured?

If I was going to go though the trouble of cutting new gears I would be making gear ratios diff as well. May as well. Good luck with the project. Btw make sure you look at a main shaft stripped as well there is a lot of work there to do other than cutting teeth.
