Hi everyone,

I have a 94 SHO ATX. I have just done alot of work to it, I have put new timming belt and chains also cam seals and senser, crank sencer, spark plugs and wires with a Accel super coil.I also cleaned the intake and mass airflow senser. It turns over and runs for an second but then dies, if I shim the throttle or keep my foot on the gas it runs but if I let it try to idle it dies. I am thinking the idle air control valve but I'm not sure. If enyone could help me I would be very greatful.

Thank you

I checked the intake and it was tight and I replaced two vacuum lines that went to the intake that had some small cracks in them, no change in the idle.I am lost, I may have to pull off the intake and check out the gaskets ??

gaskets rarely go... im thinking its still a vacume leak. take a can of brake cleaner and spray every visable vacume line and listen for the RPM's to rise. when they rise you have found your leak or problem area. spray every line and also spray every mating surface you can find (TB to intake, all the intake couplers, intake to secondaries/runners and intake to head) let us know if oyu find anything. if not after that take the IAC (idle air controll) motor off and take it apart and clean her out with brake clean.
