The engine subframe / steering rack remains intact. The tie rod ends are not removed, and the strut towers are left intact. Popping the lower control arm out of the spindle doesn't move things around really.Dr.Evil:

Don't the halfshafts have to be removed? And doesn't this require disasembly of the front suspension? I would have thought it would need to be aligned after doing this...
