Engine popping noise

After changing plugs/ wires/ plug well seals/ EGR Nosrtils i have noticed a small popping from the back of the engine while engine braking or when the RPMs come down after reving it. It doesnt sound particularly hamful but i havent noticed it before. Is this normal, am i just non-observant?

That is not normal. Maybe you have a vacuum leak somewhere.

I am still getting the 332 EGR valve code, but i never read of it causing this.
Or could it be the leaking intake and throtle body gaskets?
