Ok guys i have a pretty basic question. I think one of my motor mounts has gone bad, but im not for sure which one. I was told that the manifold gets a shiny spot on it; mine has got a shiny spot on the far left corner of the manifold if your looking from the front of the car (aka where the ECU tester plug is at). I don't know much about motor mounts but i went uder my car when i was replacing the power antenna mast and felt the one under the fender well and it felt like it had a tear in it, do i have a bad motor mount?!!? If so is that the cheap 40 dollar one or the expensive 80 dollar one?

The only place to get a SHO motor mount is a Ford dealer or a SHO specific vendor such as midwest sho, shonut, FPN, etc. Click any of the banner ads above and help the forum with your purchase.

The $40-80 Autozone mounts are for the SLO, not the SHO. This comes up pretty often. The other thing to check are your SFB. They can also create the shiney spots on your manifold.

Odds are that you'll need both MM and SFB.
