Engine Dies when I turn my A.C. on

Need Help, I own a 95 MTX 145k and every time I turn on My A.C. or just the air for that matter the engine slowly dies. Now I tried to blow my air while I'm driving on the freeway. A loud squeak sound comes from the compressor, the air blows the engine doesn't die at freeway speeds but feels weak like I'm towing something. All advice and Opinions are appreciated.

Compressor is probably dying, putting an excessive load on the engine. That's what I think, but I could be wrong.

You are right, compressor is locking up.
