Anyone up for an "End of Summer" (yeah, riiiiigggghhhht) run up to Flagg on the 28th or 29th. I've got to get out of this heat.

Heat? Its only 80 up here ya know.....last night it was 52......ahhhh.

A nice ride up here would do ya'll some good. Clean air, cool temps, and some excellent food. Not to mention 25% less horsepower than normal.

I'd say that I'd like to go, but I just totalled the SHO on my way back from the 'cool country' of Payson.
Is dooleyville interested in another Chandler SHO?
Anyone have a SHO for sale? I don't want out of the game....

I know that AZ SHO OFF is selling his blue 95 mtx once he puts the new clutch in, but he's already got 3 people waiting in line to buy it. How bad did you total it? Is it like sub-totaled or grand totaled? Hope you didn't get hurt.

The car really would be considered totalled in anyone else's mind, but my buddy's dad is convinced he can get it back on the road. The weird part is I wasn't even touched, and the car shows so much damage. The cops couldn't even believe it. I'm now looking for a donor car, as I need a straight rear end to weld in. Strangely enough, that blue 92 I gave to dusty would be perfect. You guys wouldn't happen to have that still laying around dooleyville would you?

If you do decide to part it out, or sell the carcass for parts, let me know. That's a GenII MTX, correct?

As a matter of fact we do. If you can come and get it soon, you can have it back for free.

Mike,

I'm all for a late lunch at that Diner on Route 66. I'll try and get your wheels on Friday night from that guy and bring them with me. I'd like to leave Dooleyville at 7:00 AM and be in Wickenburg at 8 for breakfast.

At 8:47 we'll leave Wickenburg and head up Yarnell hill on Highway 89, going through Congress, Kirkland Junction and stopping for a break in Prescott.

From Prescott we'll continue up 89 for a few miles and take the 89A up over the mountain pass to Jerome. If everybody wants to, we can stop at the Kings Ranch Mine, home of the largest gasoline engine, a whopping 164 liter (10,000 cubic inches) He'll start it up for 5 bucks, but you better be standing at least 50 feet away, because with its' straight pipes, the exhaust pulse will rattles your bones. You can hear it across the valley; he says it keeps the real estate prices down. He also has a lot of neat old stuff. I fit right in. :D

From Jerome we will head down the mountain into Cottonwood/Clarkdale and then on towards Sedona. From Sedona we will take the switchbacks up Oak Creek Canyon and into Flaggstaff.

I think we will arrive at about 1:19 or 1:20 at the Diner if my calculations are correct.

That's my story and I'm stickkkkkkken to it. I will bring some tools and water and oil (we're driving SHOs after all :bonk: ). Exact route may vary due to construction along the way. I have PRS radios for comunnications if anybody needs one.

So when are we meeting up? I know it might be out of the question, but I'd like to meet up with you guys. Albequerque is a halfway point from Phoenix.... Just a suggestion....

Jason,

I'm afraid that's too far for a one day ride with our group. To me it isn't because I'm a driving fool. But for most it'll be out too far.

Mikey, ol buddy ol pal,

You're going to hate me for this, but we're going to have to cancel our trip up there this weekend. We've had some health issues in our immediate family that started last Friday that have put us way behind. I'll PM you later with the details.

Jim E. was the only one going with us so I will only be disappointing you two guys this time. Sorry guys. I'll make it up to you later.

Not a problem Tom. I will keep you guys in prayer and hope all turns out well.

You should be getting a call from "rim dude" tomorrow sometime, least that's what I was told.
