I hear that the EGR has some fragile and dicontinued parts so i dont want to ruin it. I do, however, need to remove and clean it. I am having issues with proper fuel milage. Yeah... On that note what else can i try to improve my fuel milage. I just replaced my 02 sensors and my engine runs very normal temp.
But first things first... How can i remove that EGR, It is in a very akward spot and doesnt seem to want to budge.

You have to unbolt it from the intake, then unbolt it from the exhaust manifold, which can be rather simple if you have a universal joint and a couple extensions. The hardest part I found was acually getting it out. The heater tube (the metal part) I found to be upmost in the way. When I took mine off I had the intake off(60k). So, I don't know how difficult it will be to take off with the intake on, but I didn't find removing the bolts the hardest, I found acually removing it from the vehicle and installing it most difficult.

I will also add that you need to be very careful with the EGR tube. Not because it is fragile, but because it is about $170!
