Recently I had my check engine light come on a few times, and then it decided to stay on always. It does not come on when I start the car, but usually does after I jump on the highway. It sometimes comes on after a high rev around town. I pulled a code for the EGR valve, and also one for the EGR pressure sensor. I replaced them both yesterday. The light still comes on, and the computer spit out the dreadful code "332".

I believe the ports in the intake are clogged up. My main question here is how will the ports being blocked effect my performance/driveability? Basically what is happening when they are clogged up? Is it essential that I fix this ASAP?

My second question is will "SEAFOAM" remedy this problem?

If your car isn't pinging and you don't have an emissions test coming up then it is of no consequence.

To clean it out you will need to remove the intake and physically remove the carbon.

Well taking the intake off to clean is a good idea, but not necessary. There are two plugs, one on each side of the intake, where the holes were drilled straight through. Take those out, and the ports can be cleaned. Be careful not to let the gritty carbon get into the intake. If you get a hanger, and use the twisty part, and a little berrymans, it will clean right up. It doesn't affect driveability or gas mileage, but it may affect smog readings. That said, I passed my CA smog check with mine plugged, and the tube with a hole in it.

If nothing else you will have to have that annoying light in the corner of you eye everytime you drive at night also you wont know if another code comes up and a different sensor goes bad that may cause more severe drivability problems if left unattended.Do a search puling off the trottle body and cleaning out those ports is easy enuogh and doesnt take that long.

Can someone explain where these two "Plugs" are located that are drilled through the manifold? I have looked, and they're probably right in front of my face!!

I need a SHO sniper to fill me in on the locations shrug

If you pull of your throttle body you will see some small holes drilled in the wall. The 2 you are concerned with are the 2 lower ones. Clean those. You can also access them from a hex screw on the lower front of your intake. It leads to the EGR path and helps to open it up when cleaning.
I would first pull off your EGR and check the pipe leading to it. This is probably what is causeing your prblems.
