i have problem hit a *** hole today and my back struts cam throw the trunk is there anyways to fix it the rest of the car is mint i really dont want to junk it it runs so danm good need help asap

it sounds like you just blew out a set of strut mounts. It's less than 100 bucks to replace them.

So the struts actually came through the trunk? WOW...what did that feel like? eek! Either that ***-hole was really deep or your trunk is completly rusted out. If they did come right up through the trunk i think you'll need more than new strut mounts but then again i could be DEAD wrong(dont have any experiance in that area). Either way, it shouldnt be going to the junkyard.

Was it the struts pushing up throught, or did the entire top plate tear loose? Strut mounts are not that bad. If the top plate did tear, it can be welded back on by a body shop. Just open the trunk and see if the top plate is flat. Hopefully all you need is new strut mounts. Where in Ohio are you?

pass side rotted out it poped threw like there was nt there its hitting against the seatbelt thingey ya no what i mean what bad i just had the mounts replaced an they never mentioned it wa rotted out but driver side prefect an im from yongstown ohio frown

Well.. depending on how badly its rusted out back there, it is fixable... how handy are you with a welder?? You don't by chance have a digital camera do ya? Instead of sending it to the junk.. u could send it my way! I need a good motor right about now! lol

the hole trunk besides there is solid if i cant fix it by the end of the week it going on here for parts the moter is a 89 the heads been ported an polished by my local machine shop buddy all the 60K been done but it does need valve cover gaskets soon i notice there starting to leak but no big deals it olnys has close to 120K but it run stonger then my 92 with 23K but my 92 is a auto also

A 92 with 23k miles would be awesome...But,I doutbt you really have that!!They didnt make autos in 92!

Make sure you get a pic of somthing that really proves its a '92 like the sticker that said when its was built or the VIN since '92s and '93s look alike.

Are you sure that they aren't SLOs?

Agreed. If you truly have a 1992 taurus with an automatic transmission, it is a regular Taurus, not an SHO. Unless ther eis someone screwy around their throwing ATXs on 3.0s.
