Who here has done the EEC self test as outlined on SHOtimes.com?
I read it several times but am still a little confused.
The basic rule for the KOEO test is to put a jumper wire from the "self test input" (loose wire) to the "Signal return" true?
When the check engine light flashes the codes does it do it rapidly for each digit (i.e. 3 fast flashes for the number 3)or slowly?
It also says it repeats the codes twice is that twice as in 172 then 172 again then the next code or as in 172, 332 then 172, 332 again?
The one flash seperator code happens only after all the above to tell you it's done before moving on to the stored memory codes correct?
What if there is no initial codes only stored memory codes? Will it flash once to let me know that it's moving on to the stored memory codes?

Thanks in advance for any help.

well I know this much, when its flashing the codes it will repeat them like this: Say you have codes 173 and 177, it will flast 173, 177, 173, 177. Also, the light flashes slow enough so that you'll be able to catch it if you keep your eye on it.

The 3 quick flashes that shotimes is referring to is just to let you know what kind of engine you have. With the 6 cylinder engine it blinks 3 times to verify that.

Once the codes start, it is pretty straight forward as far as reading them.
For example, I get code 511 all the time (due to an LPM) and code 114 (ACT) but I'm not sure why yet..
So it blinks 5 times, then a pause, blinks once, pause, blinks once. That is for 511. There is a pause, then it blinks four times, pause, once, pause, and then once. That is for 411. There is then an extended pause, one blink (separator), extended pause, and then the stored memory codes (of which I get none).
Once you do it, you'll see the blinks are pretty straight forward, so it's not like it leaves you guessing.
5 blinks for example would be like counting to 5, just a bit faster than usual.
Hope this helps.
