EATC acting crazy..

I just purchased a 1990 stock SHO and when I crank the car the AC comes on full blast set to defrost, while displaying OFF... Before the car was turned off it was set to OFF also. If I press Max AC it displayed 15 instead of 60 degrees.

The AC was flickering between 60 and 15 last night before all this started when I would press Max AC. I had to ride with it all OFF to avoid the weird issues. It blows hot anyways so I wouldn't want to use it regardless but its a soft button EATC so i'm thinking it might just be as easy as replacing it ?

Suggestions?

well, the rest i dunno...but your temp readout's in metric instead of standard...which i fixed on mine by clipping the red wire going into the back of the unit. the rest might be solved through replacement of the unit.

sounds like a blower control module
