Thanks to some parts that sam gave me (thanks) i have discovered something cool. He gave me an old SHOshop 12.5" corvette brake setup. these are the same calipers as the mustang cobra, but the brackets are different (made to fit the corvette). This is the setup i am currently running..

stock gen three brakesj w/ slotted and drilled rotors.

i was planning to try to get brackets and rotors to swap to the cobra setup... while i had some down time i decided to just try to test fit the corvette brackets and noticed something interesting.
they appeared to bolt right up.. so i test fit them with the 11.6" rotors . all i needed was a couple washers to center them on the rotor.

fitts perfect... pads come right to the edge of the rotor like it should. then i checked and the hoses bolted right up.. except i had to grind down the side of the hose on the drivers side to make it fit..

this was an easy near bolt on upgrade. brake pedal is very improved over stock and the calipers weigh probably less than half the factory ones.

thought i'd pass it on.:sun:
