E85 noobie

Anyone ever add a lil E85 to their SHO what happenes? I was working 2 hours away from home and came by the closest stripes that sells E85 so bought 2 gallons @ $1.80 each.Im pretty new but very intrested to this eblend stuff. ive read guys adding up to 2 gallons and seeing great results. I sent torrie an email he said a gallon sould be fine.i have a 13 sho pp with torries 93p tune and 170 Tstat 3 bar CAI.

Does your state mandate 10% ethanol to begin with? I'm already putting 1.6 gallons of 100% ethanol in every tank, here in Metro New York

I belive so im in south texas! Whats 100% ethanol? Would that be = to e85?

E85 is 85% ethanol.

I put about 2 gallons in to top off my tank with 93 octane with 10% ethanol. I do this once every couple months - good for keeping it clean too!

I have used 50-50% E85 to gasoline with no issues in my '14 SHO. I could probably go higher but mpg goes down. 45/55% ratio and there is no reduction in fuel economy.

The issue is when you are tuned... in sure stock can handle a pretty heavy dose.... if you are tuned, you need to be tuned for E to take advantage...
