Exactly.. 1500$ fuel pump...that’s absurd...

It’s really not when it costs just a little bit more than downpipes but installs in a true 20mins and nets you more power (and safety). If you compare a HPFP for the Golf R from APR, it runs about the same price.

I don’t agree with 700$ down pipes either. That’s also ridiculous. They don’t net enough power for that kind of money. I would buy a pump before I bought downpipes. My car runs 12.4 basically tune only, with my crappy stock down pipes and stock pump. I have a k&n drop in.

So did mine, 12.56 @108. Now I have the DP and Intercooler and I know my car is faster. It made more power aand knocked off 2 tenths from my 0 to 60.

I thought the same thing about the PPE catted DP regarding price vs performances but the sound makes up for the lack of back of the seat gains.

Now, the hpfp absolutely woke the car up. So worth it now that I have it. Better power pulling all the way through the RPMs. This pump you actually feel like when you first put a base tune on the car from stock.

I would say based on my unscientific experience would be to get the IC and HPFP for the most bang for the buck.

Not saying it’s not the best bang for the buck. Between those 2 things you got 2200$ into it. I am only running 14psi because of the stock pump. But it’s plenty of power without spending a dime.

And what was it?

On my Livewire my car would run 0 to 60 in 4.56 seconds consistently. Now she runs low 4.3x and has touched a 4.2 a couple of times. That is with all 4 tires @ 38 psi. I havent aired the fronts down and tried again. Bet it goes even faster.

I know the car is faster in that regard, because the DP's and custom exhaust gave me more 30 ft pounds of tq and the tq whole curve and peak tq hits earlier.

Now the wider rims, and AD Tq mounts are helping plant that power no doubt.

My car runs 4.08 0-60 with the mods below at full weight and street tire pressure.

The XDI pump is a must once the basics are done.
