Most of the E15 you see at the pumps is going to be made with an 87 base stock, which will net you around the octane of 89 octane if you're lucky.

The proper way to do it for power sake is to add 2 gallons of E85 and then fill up with premium fuel. This will give you an octane rating of around 95 octane and will boost power a decent amount by allowing the knock sensors to add as much as the tune will allow.

Can this mixture be run in a stock car, is it not recommended or not really worth it?

And here in PA our E15 fuel is listed as 88 octane
