So I got some Dynomax ultraflo mufflers installed and also did a 3rd cat and resonator delete and put in a magnaflow x pipe.. The sound is awesome! Really makes it sound like a beast.. Felt a little better get up and go too. But that DRONE.. ooof.. I had a 2005 mustang v6 with Pypes dual exhaust and I thought that was a bad drone.. This is pretty ridiculous. I personally could live with it, but those riding with me probably couldn't... I figured with the large car and the sound deadening material in the car would prevent some of that drone. I didn't realize the resonator (while really heavy) is just a straight through design and adds no restriction. If I put that back on would some of that drone go away? Or would those mufflers be causing it regardless? I'm fine with some drone, just want it to be bearable.

I'm leaving the 3rd cat off regardless, just wondering if the stock resonator will do any good still? Planning a 2000 mile trip soon and REALLY want to tame it down a bit before I go. Worst case scenario I can swap my stock mufflers back on for the trip and clamp them on.

I would think the resonator would tame that down a lot, typically does, anyways
Sound clip by chance of current setup?
