Ok gang, we've got to get some meet plans started for this year. Maumee Bay is a given and I'd like to do that mid June. I'd also like to get a feel for how many of you would be up for a Dyno day in Royal Oak, MI. This would be a sign up and pre-pay event as I can't afford to reserve the place with my own money and then have a bunch of people not show up.

So, I need to see a raise of hands on who'd be interested in that. Cost wise we'd be looking at about $35-$45 each for the day, I can try to reserve the place for a weekend but we might have to take a week day. When I spoke with them last they told me they could do a week day with no problem, but it would cost a little extra for a Saturday. The location would be at Pro-M (Best Products) in Royal Oak, MI. For all of you guys with Pro-M MAF's that aren't working properly this would be the prime time to go as they can tune it on the spot. Expected pulls would really be up to how many people actually showed up, but I would anticipate at least 3-4 pulls each. I'd like to do this the end of July after the convention.

I'd also like for us to all meet at various tracks in the tri-state areas. We've got Lapeer, Milan, Muncie, Norwalk and many many more. I think it would be cool if we had at least 1 meet per month during the summer and fall.

Let me know what you all think.

Oh yeah, one more thing. I've been so wrapped up in my own personal business lately that I just haven't had time to do much planning at all. I NEED HELP you guys, I can't do this all by myself. Sometimes it seems like everybody complains because we're not doing anything but when I ask for help nobody is willing to lend a hand so........Let's see a raise of hands in this department as well. :thumb:

Beth I'm always up for anything!! We've already gotten a few people together for Milan and I'd like to do it again this year and we have to go to Norwalk at least once. Maumee Bay will be great (we can't cancel this year). The next place I plan on going to the track will be for the Ford V6 Challenge, May 29-30. I know it's the same weekend as the other events but it would be nice to see a few other members there as well. I think Speedy_91_SHO and I were the only SHO's signed up so far. I would be up for a dyno meet later in the year when "Project Plus Beast" is complete. If you need any help Beth let me, Chris (Speedy_91) or Ryan (91Plus) know as we'd be more than happy to help.

Royal Oak is near Detroit. If you look it up on a map it's going to be inbetween Detroit and Pontiac. So if your staring at one of those paper maps. Look in the Troy,Clawson,Ferndale, area. Basics are 1-75 and 696. Where those two freeway's intersect is Royal Oak. The Detroit Zoo is actually in Royal Oak so there is another marker to shoot for.

I'm always down for a meet, especially a dyno day. Speaking of Pro-Flow, beth do you happen to still have the 75mm MAF or did you sell it?

Things have continued to be **** like here for me so apologies for my tardiness in responding.

I do need to make one correction to a previous statement in that nobody has offered to help. That is incorrect in that Matt (98shotoy) has offered to help but with him taking the vows of death....I mean marriage... it will be next to impossible for him to help 100% at the moment. But I do need as much help as I can possibly get.

What I'd like to have is a group of you to work together to plan events so that nobody has 100% responsibility which would lead to burnout. The group would exchange phone numbers and would work together to organize the events, set the dates and times, etc. I'd like some members from Michigan, Ohio and Indiana so that we get a rounded effect for meets. It's not fair for everyone that the majority of meets are in Ohio, though Ohio is a fairly central location for everyone.

So, I have a list of the following who'd be willing to help:

98shotoy - Monroe area, MI
SHOracer14 - Toledo, Ohio
Cobraii976 - Detroit (?), MI
SHOman247 - Roseville, MI
Kean_SHO - Ohio

Ryan, what about you man? You still in for helping?

Some of you I know, others I don't so why don't you guys post your first names and get to know each other, maybe exchange phone numbers along with sending me your numbers so I can contact you guys.

We have the backbone of things to happen, you guys take them and make them happen and expand upon them. You're officially elected in other words.

Things that must happen:

Dyno day which I can organize
Maumee Bay

Things I'd like to happen:
Regular monthly meets with tech sessions and other informative stuff
Track meets even though I can't race until my clutch is replaced.
Cookouts, etc.
Quaker Steak and **** in Cleveland as well as southern Ohio and Maumee, Ohio
Muncie track meet like we did year before last....Camp 'n' Drag
An Indy meet would be cool
Car SHOWs
Convention (speaking of which....who's going?)
Carlisle All Ford Nationals (again....who's going?)

etc. etc. etc.

Let's get this thing going boys, the sooner the better and I'll swing with whatever is planned as best I can. :thumb:

I am able to help also. As for car SHOw's, the local andersons has one every year, usually later in the summer. It is usually older muscle cars though. SHORacer14 would be able to add on to this as he works there. My first name is Chris(yes another). I can help with organizing the Maumee Bay meet for sure as it is close to me. I'll keep a close eye on this post. :thumb:
