I just picked up a police grill for $99 On ebay. Hehe, I was the only bidder. ( :snicker: ) It's in great physical shape...the black paint is a little rough. Anyways, the black popo grill/light titanium SHO look isn't bad but I think I'd like to make it match right now. Duplicolor doesn't seem to have a paint for Ford's light titanium. Anyways, my car is pretty well oxidized. Has anybody found another duplicolor that's a good match for an old, oxidized, light titanium?

I painted my "fake" police grille with a "metallic silver" Krylon rattle can paint. It matches okay, but not super.

www.paintscratch.com sells the correct paint though, and in rattle cas as well, IIRC
Yup and they want $30 for a spray paint can. That's more than your grill cost! I'll check out the Krylon. Perfection desired but not required. :D Good results for a cheap price will be fine for a first attempt. Thanks Kenny. :)

my nose on my green 93 was all rashed up with rock and bug chips and marks. I too couldnt get an exact color so i went to autozone and asked the guy if i could take the caps of the colors out to the parking lot to compare and i got one that looked almost identical.... Once i painted the nose and cleared it it pretty much blended in totally. I would suspect with yours being higher up in the line of vision it will be more noticeable though. and a can of the paint is like 3.99 and can of clear is the same. If i remember right though since i studied the color chart really well i dont recall any colors very close to yours. Theres gotta be someone out there that has something close to that color but im sure that duplicolor has something. In fact if you go to duplicolor.com you can ask them and they will respond within 24 hours and they give tips and tricks to help it work as good as possible. They were great help with my painting my wheels. Good luck :thumb:

Here is what you should do: Go to Home Depot and get a "Sprayer" refillable spray bottle. It's a glass bottle with a detatchable aerosol sprayer. You can fill it with whatever paint you want to spray. They are $5.00 or so. Next go to an automotive paint store and get 1/2 a pint of a single stage paint (usually an acrylic enamel) that is color matched to you car. The paint shop I use sells 1/2 pints of mixed paint for $8 or so. Thin the paint per manufacturers spec (usually 2:1), put it in the "Sprayer" and spray away.

That plan sounds like a winner! :thumbs_u: I think that's what I'll do. The only problem I see is that I will be tempted to repaint my entire car a square foot at a time with the leftovers. :p
