Drove a 2012 SHO today. I dig it.

Drove one today as it looks like the 335 will be sold shortly. I was pleasantly surprised w/the handling (It had the SHO performance pkg). Turned pretty well for a land yacht. Car was roomy enough for me inside. I don't have passengers in back too often so what do I know?

I do wish the SHO performance pkg kept 19"s and/or all-season tires. I don't want 20" summer tires only to replace them right away.

It pulled pretty good for such a heavy car as well. I'd drive one daily if I can get a better lease price than the $449 & $773 down I got so far. I asked them for pricing with SHO performance pkg & 401A pkg so I assume that includes it, but I need to verify that & also make sure tax is included. If I could get one close to $400 a month I may have to pull the trigger. I want the touch screen navi too just for the radio/iPod control, but I could live w/o it I guess. The dealer I test drove @ wanted MSRP & $650 a month w/$4k down on a lease. ****! It also had the useless to me heated rear seats.

Still kicking around the idea of another MS6 or an MS3 + C6Z too or just rocking the Sable for a while & adding the C6Z to that, but who knows how much time the Sable has left w/the slipping trans & the way I drive.

Also drove a used (obviously) Caliber SRT4 & a new VW GTI. Caliber is fun to drive for a few minutes, but not to own. Only worth about $6k just like the Neon SRT4 IMO.

The GTI is a decent little car. The seats in it were not bad at all, especially for cloth. However, the car has no power so no thank you. APR tune is not as simple as the Cobb AP so I pass.

Yea, I know no one cares, but I wanted to share & maybe someone can chime in on good SHO pricing or info.

I just traded in my 2011 SHO. I'm 29, but have owned about a dozen cars so far, and it was my first new car. The last two cars (Caliber srt-4, and neon srt-4) both had 5,000 miles on them when I bought them. My advice is to not touch a new one. I don't personally like to lease, because I feel it's a bigger waste of money than buying new. The value didn't drop as much as some other cars, but it still sucks. Thankfully I put enough down and paid extra every month, so I had a good amount of equity in the car, but I was racking up too many miles, so it had to go. The SHO is a great car, but there's no way in **** I would touch one for $600+ a month. Before I traded mine in, I was finding 2010 SHO's used with about 40k in the low $20's. Not too bad for a car that was $40-$45k new.

Caliber srt-4 isn't a bad car, but it's not great. Too much power to the front wheels, and it had terrible torque steer. Especially with Stage 1. Overall it was a pretty fun car, and handled well after a sway bar upgrade. I would never buy one ever again though.

If you buy the sho you will really enjoy it. If you do I have a white mobsteel grill for sale , so make sure you get a white one. I also have a nice set of black wheels and snow tires for the Pennsylvania snow too, but you have to come and pick them up in the Detroit area. Good luck on your search.

Personally I would not get the PP, because of the tires. Only thing you might miss is the gearing. But, not a real big issue. You can get 20's w/o summer tires. The Michelin's are not bad in snow.

I bought mine used w/ 18K miles for $31K and would only buy new at invoice or X-plan pricing.

I found a dealer willing to take X-plan on a car they wouldn't have to order. Only problem was I couldn't find a sliver '12 with Nav & PP. I ended up choosing the PP over the Nav for obvious reasons. X-plan is a small percentage under invoice and a PIn can be obtained "fairly" easy.

I'm not sure about lease pricing.

Good luck in your search. I'm 32 and have owned a few performance vehicles in my day. It's not a raw sports car by any means, but more of a refined performance sedan.

I had the dealer swap tires on my 12 with the PP. They put the 20" Michelins on. We had about 8" of snow here and they were not that bad.

What did the lease total using x-plan? Ask your salesman and get back with us.

I too looked into many of the cars mentioned, namely the MS3/6 and the CSRT4... I liked the MSs' and felt similar about the CSRT... no mechanical LSD kills it for that car, and I completely agree... it feels like a neon SUV/Wagon hybrid, which for anywhere from $7k-10k more is not worth it IMO
